Summary of the Replication Project
Replication Project
Across 25 preregistered multi-lab replications, 28% of studies replicated successfully (Panel A). Replication effect sizes were typically smaller than original estimates (Panel B), suggesting inflation of published effects. Together, the findings highlight the need for routine replication, improved statistical power, and greater research transparency in sports and exercise science (Panel C). You can find the full report on our "Publications" page.

Mission Statement

To date, a host of research has identified concerns with the replication of psychological research, leading to the formation of projects and groups such as the Many Labs and the Reproducibility Project in Psychology. STORK (Society for Transparency, Openness and Replication in Kinesiology) is the leading group in Sports and Exercise Science to improve research practices in this field. Find out more.

New Initiative — MetaStudent
