James Steele is the Head of Research at MacroFactor and an Adjunct Industry Associate Professor with RMIT University, as well as the Director of Steele Research Ltd. He has extensive research and consultancy experience across physical activity, exercise, and sport, working with elite athletes, general populations, and individuals with chronic disease. His interdisciplinary work spans multiple methodologies and study designs, with a particular focus on open research practices and meta-science, theory development and testing, and the philosophy of science as applied to sport and exercise research. He has led major research projects, published extensively, served on national expert panels, and helped found several field societies dedicated to improving research quality in kinesiology and sport science.
